Live Ningaloo would like to recognise and acknowledge the Aboriginal people as the traditional custodians of the land and sea.
There is not a single Aboriginal culture, there are several, and they are varied. Each has differences that make them unique but the there is a common thread binding them all together – their connection to ‘country.’
The word country isn’t defined as an outline of land (e.g. town, nation state, sovereign) but is a multifarious combination of spirituality, culture, environment, and ancestry.
At this time, official custodianship is undergoing review in Exmouth WA.
We have an exciting partnership with ABC (Aboriginal Biodiversity Conservation) that will be commencing in 2018 – watch this space for more information!
